Urban Farmer TV, Inc. is an EdTech platform on a mission to make high-quality, fresh food accessible to everyone by equipping them with the skills to build mini farms at home—even tiny spaces with no sunlight. We create gamified courses that make learning fun and simple for all, regardless of experience or space.
Our Story
Urban Farmer TV began in 2020 during the pandemic when I wanted to take control of our food but had no space for a garden. This led me to hydroponics, turning a small space in my apartment into a mini farm that grew a hundred veggies a month. Sharing my journey online connected me with millions—and turned a small passion into something bigger.

It makes the viewer feel like they can do it
This mini course is great. It give enough information to captivate the viewer especially those who really want to “farm” their own foods. It was easy to follow and understand, which is great because it makes the viewer feel like they can do it regardless of any knowledge of planting

Short and sweet!
Short and sweet! Covers the basics of what you need to understand to get going! Knowing with what this course is providing we should be able to grow an effective little garden in our 2m by 3m court yard. Since it’s just my girlfriend and me, we’ll also get some quality time together setting up our little hydroponics system!

I couldn't find any information in a compact but informative way like I did here, and I'm stunned. Since food costs in Germany have increased up to 120% I've been desperately looking for ways to grow my own food to save some costs. I might have found a little glimmer of hope through your videos. A good skill to have
I liked it. I think it's easy to follow with great information. My family eats a lot of veggies so it could save on some trips but also I think it's always a good skill to have, knowing how to provide for yourself

I love the way you teach

In the next 5 years, our vision is to empowering 1M students to be active participants in food production and their individual successes into global change. Here’s what’s posssible.
Traditional farming needs 7.2 sqm to grow enough greens for a family of 5, but hydroponics only needs 3 sqm. That means each family saves 4.2 sqm of land. If 1 million families switch, we could save 420 hectares every month while protecting forests and making use of unused urban spaces! 🌱

If families have their own 3 sqm farms, they can avoid buying 3,600 packaged heads of greens per year. This would prevent 54,000 tons of single-use plastic waste from ending up in landfills annually!

Growing 3,600 heads of leafy greens for a family of 5 takes 5,400 liters of water with hydroponics—but traditional farming needs 540,000 liters, 100 times more! Switching to hydroponics could save enough water to support millions, protect freshwater ecosystems, and fight water scarcity.
